Jhené Aiko Turns Silence Into a Statement in “Nothing Nice to Say” Video

Jhené Aiko is letting the silence speak for itself.

The singer has released the official video for “Nothing Nice to Say,” one of the standout moments from her new album Westside Whimsy. Shot by Topshelf Junior, the visual keeps the focus on the emotion behind the record: the moment when someone has pushed you far enough that saying less becomes the loudest response.

On the track, Jhené sings about staying quiet because she has “nothing nice to say,” turning frustration into something calm, direct and controlled. It’s a familiar space for her, but this time the softness has more edge. Rather than exploding, she pulls inward and lets the mood do the work.

The video continues the rollout for Westside Whimsy, Jhené’s first full-length album since Chilombo. With the project already drawing attention for its dreamy production, heartbreak themes and West Coast-rooted energy, “Nothing Nice to Say” gives the era a clear visual statement: peaceful doesn’t always mean passive.
