SNOOP DOGG WILL HOST THE 2026 MTV VMAS

Snoop Dogg is officially taking over the 2026 MTV Video Music Awards.

The rap legend will host this year’s VMAs live from Los Angeles on Sept. 27. The moment brings Snoop back to a stage that has been part of his career for decades, from classic performances to multiple VMA wins.

For MTV, the move feels intentional: bringing one of hip-hop’s most recognizable figures to the center of a show that has spent years trying to balance pop spectacle with cultural relevance.

Snoop hosting the VMAs is bigger than nostalgia. It shows how hip-hop’s elder statesmen are still being used to anchor mainstream culture.
