Joyce Wrice is getting ready to step into her next chapter.
The rising R&B singer will release her sophomore album Machiko on Oct. 9 through BMG Records. The title is also Wrice’s middle name and means “city girl” in Japanese.
The project will include production from D’Mile, Jay Versace, Lido, Mack Keane and Malik Ninety, along with the single “Fly (Someone You Love)” featuring Salimata.
Joyce Wrice has always lived in that sweet spot between classic R&B texture and modern cool. Machiko could be the album that pushes more people to catch up.
“I'm not in a rush. The work outlives the rollout.”
